The Day of Arafah

🕋🕋أفضل الدعاء يوم عرفة!

🕋🕋The Best Supplication on the Day of ‘Arafah!

روى الترمذي عن عمرو بن شعيب عن أبيه عن جده أن النبي ﷺ قال:

At-Tirmidhi narrated from ‘Amr ibn Shu‘ayb, from his father, from his grandfather, that the Prophet ﷺ said:

“خير الدعاء دعاء يوم عرفة..

“The best supplication is the supplication on the Day of ‘Arafah…

وخير ما قلت أنا والنبيون من قبلي:

And the best words that I and the Prophets before me have said are:

لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له له الملك وله الحمد وهو على كل شيء قدير”.

‘There is no god but Allah alone, without partner. To Him belongs the dominion and all praise, and He is over all things Competent.’”

رواه الترمذي رقم: 3585

Narrated by At-Tirmidhi, Hadith No. 3585.

فالزم هذا الذكر، وأكثِر منه سائر يومك، بجوار باقي أذكارك، فهو سيد أذكار اليوم.

So hold firmly to this remembrance and repeat it abundantly throughout your day alongside your other adhkar, for it is the greatest remembrance of this blessed day.

والحديث لا يقتضي أن يكون الدعاء فقط بقول لا إله إلا الله…،. بل المراد أن ..

The hadith does not mean that supplication on this day is limited only to saying “La ilaha illa Allah…” Rather, what is meant is that…

خير الدعاء ما يكون يوم عرفة، بأي دعاء كان.

The best supplication is the one made on the Day of ‘Arafah, whatever form the supplication may take
