The Measure of Guidance: Your Worth Is Shown by Your Obedience

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you.

تفقد هدایتك.. في قدر استجابتك لأوامر الله.

Check your guidance… by how much you respond to Allah’s commands.

( وَإِن كَانَتْ لَكَبِيرَةً إِلَّا عَلَى الَّذِينَ هَدَى اللَّهُ )

“And indeed, it is difficult except for those whom Allah has guided.” [Al-Baqarah: 45]

‏قال ابن القيم رحمه الله:

Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) said:

ويحك لو عرفت قدر نفسك ما أهنتها بالمعاصي ، إنما أبعدنا إبليس لأنه لم يسجد لك و أنت في صلب أبيك ، فواعجبا كيف صالحته و تركتنا.

Woe to you! If you knew your own worth, you would not dishonor it with sins. Indeed, Iblis was cast away because he refused to prostrate to you while you were still in the loins of your father. How strange then, that you reconciled with him and abandoned us!

• لا تجزع!

Do not despair!

ربّ هَم لازَمك أزاح الله به أثقال الخطايا عن كاهِلك ..

Perhaps a worry that clings to you is the very means by which Allah removes the burdens of sins from your shoulders.

ءانسكم الله بقربه

May Allah comfort you with His nearness.
